Dealing with issues related to mental health in the workplace can be challenging and difficult to navigate. It is essential that organizations have the capabilities to manage mental health because early identification and support typically leads to continued productivity and retention of employees. This workshop provides a roadmap to help managers participate in conversations with employees who may require support when experiencing difficulties related to mental health. Participants will learn strategies for creating a more inclusive work environment that reduces stigma surrounding mental health.

Trainer: Shelly Qualtieri

As a former Multidisciplinary Team Manager for a non-profit organization and Team Leader within the Provincial Government sector, Shelly's experience in coaching, mentoring, and leadership has provided her with a unique and diverse skill set that combines academic understanding with practical knowledge. She holds a Master's degree in Investigations Management and has significant work experience both in Canada and Australia, where she been an energetic practitioner, educator, and leader in the field of youth justice, child welfare, mental health, homelessness, and suicide intervention for over 20 years. In addition to training with ACHIEVE, Shelly has a private counselling and coaching practice where she focuses on wellness, leadership, difficult conversations, and healthy relationships.
