Contract Role: Trainer

Location: We have particular interest in applications from: Thunder Bay and Yellowknife.

We encourage applications from trainers who are fluent in French, from Indigenous heritage, and from people representing other minorities.

Description: ACHIEVE is seeking trainers to facilitate our existing workshops at various locations across Canada and the United States on a contract basis. This contract role is ideal for someone who works part-time and can travel very occasionally. ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance, a division of the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute (www.ctrinstitute.com) is a Winnipeg based company that provides professional training and consulting services for individuals, communities and organizations in the area of leadership, conflict, communication and organizational development. Examples of some of our one day workshops include:

  • Leadership – The Essential Foundations (1 days)
  • Dealing with Difficult People (1 day)
  • Conflict Resolution Skills (1 day)
  • Assertive Communication (1 day)

We provide our trainers with teaching materials that include a participant resource manual, a PowerPoint, a lesson plan, and accompanying workshop videos.

Time requirement: Varies significantly depending upon each trainer’s availability and ACHIEVE’s needs in the trainer’s home location. Initially trainers start out training only periodically. Our busier trainers may eventually train up to 6-8 days a month.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant post-secondary degree and/or training
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Experiential knowledge of workshop material

Trainer Supplies: All trainers supply the following presentation tools: LCD projector, computer and audio speakers.
