Alison Granger-Brown

Alison’s group facilitation skills have been finely tuned over her 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the specialty food industry, and 15 years of experience providing services to individuals and groups within the provincial and federal correctional systems. These experiences required her to pay careful attention to people and create safe spaces to build trust. Alison now consults in a variety of organizations and her facilitation skills are valued widely. As a facilitator, she believes that each person within a group must feel individually validated, heard, and supported to fully engage.

Throughout her career, Alison has nurtured a passion for healthy organizations and workplaces. She believes that leaders should nurture a belief in what is possible, now and in the future; this generates opportunities for innovation, productivity, creativity, health, and well-being. Alison has experience in intercultural collaborative research and specializes in transformational learning and nurturing hope. She has a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Training and in Human Development, with a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems. Her education and experience have also given her the opportunity to be a contributing author to three books and multiple academic articles.
