Strengthening your own team is essential, but a manager’s job doesn’t stop there – you also play a pivotal role in connecting your team to the wider organization. Without that connection, even high-performing teams can become isolated, creating misalignment and dysfunction that ultimately work against everyone.

In this workshop, you will explore your role as The Link through three focus areas: building bridges across departments, aligning your team’s goals with the organization’s, and driving change effectively. You will also identify your organization priorities, pressures, and relationships that shape your team’s work and consider how to contribute to a shared purpose.

By the end of the workshop, you will either complete or revise your Leadership Charter, and build a six-month development plan focused on the key leadership growth areas that will help you strengthen both your team and your organization.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants should be able to:

  • Explain how working across teams, aligning with broader goals, and leading change strengthen your organization
  • Determine who to involve in decisions that impact multiple teams
  • Identify the priorities, pressures, and relationships across the organization that affect your team’s work
  • Apply a structured approach to guide your team through a change to a successful outcome
  • Create or refine your Leadership Charter, along with a six-month leadership development plan

Method of Delivery
