Employees don’t just feel the impact of what their direct manager does – they also experience the manager’s values, mindset, and how they show up everyday. This workshop helps managers, supervisors, and team leaders reflect on how their personal qualities shape their impact on those around them. Leadership development often focuses on skills and actions, but who you are as a leader matters just as much as what you do. In this workshop, you will explore both dimensions and consider how balanced growth as a leader requires deep self-awareness. This is an opportunity to examine how your personal values shape behaviours, how mindset influences responses to challenges, and how curiosity can help resolve conflicts and tension. This work will culminate with the creation of a personal leadership charter that articulates your values, leadership identity, commitments, and next steps.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize how who you are and what you do both shape balanced growth
  • Identify your core values and how they shape your leadership style
  • Apply the judgement-to-curiosity technique to shift your mindset
  • Assess your habits, engagement, and self-care practices to identify growth opportunities
  • Create a personal leadership charter with your values, commitments, and next stepa

Method of Delivery

Presentation, case studies, experiential practice, personal reflection, small group discussions.
