Alana Abramson

Alana has extensive mediation and group facilitation experience in justice, community, and school settings. She has trained hundreds of restorative justice facilitators and mediators in British Columbia, and currently supports and consults for new and established programs. Alana has additional experience in non-profit management, crisis intervention, and community organizing. She has assisted in developing various initiatives involving elders, at-risk adults, people with disabilities, Indigenous communities, youth, former prisoners, and victims and survivors.

She holds a PhD in Criminology on the topic of transformational learning and is a full-time faculty member in Criminology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she continues to inspire, and be inspired by students and colleagues. Alana believes in collaborative dialogue and life-long learning as a source of personal and social transformation.
